A teaching has resurfaced in the church that says, “The Jews killed Christ.” Another claim is that God will not use the Jewish people to fulfill Bible prophecy because they are a degenerate people.
Through the centuries, teachings like this have led to horrendous persecution by the church against the Jewish people. Anti-Jewish teachings in the church laid the groundwork for the actions of men like Adolph Hitler. These doctrines of devils are as dangerous for the church as they were for Hitler!
The Bible tells us who killed Jesus:
“For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done” (Acts 4:27-28 NKJV).
In other words, the Jews and Gentiles killed Jesus. When you get the Jews and Gentiles together you have the whole world — including you and me! So if we want to know who killed Jesus, we need look no farther than the nearest mirror.
Actually, no one had the authority to take Jesus’ life. It was God’s predetermined plan for Jesus to lay down His life for the sins of the whole world:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
I pray the spiritual scales come off the eyes of Christians who curse the Jew or Israel. I pray the spiritual scales come off the eyes of Jewish people regarding Jesus as Messiah.
