I received an email this week in response to the “Saved or Not” article from a man who is assured that he’s saved, but he keeps missing the mark. (Don’t we all?)

I am always blessed to receive responses to my articles. This week I received a couple that came with questions that resurface now and again. I thought I would address just a few of them in an article as perhaps some of you have had similar questions from time to time.

How many times have we heard of someone who says of a loved one, “Well, they prayed the prayer of salvation once years ago, so they’re saved. They’re just not walking with the Lord right now.”

What Jesus was talking about was bringing division into families over the issue of loyalty to God and his Messiah.

“I almost got off my seat and under the chair. It was the Archangel Michael.”

Your statement is quite exaggerated and also misses a crucial point.
