Take It! Let Your Healing Begin…
By Sid Roth
People ask me, after over 40 years of studying healing, “What is the one thing you wish you knew 40 years ago?” I wish I had understood how faith operates when you do not get your healing immediately. It is clear in the Bible, but I had scales over my eyes that blinded me to the truth for many years.
Mark 11:23- 24 says, For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain [or says to their sickness], “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive [Greek, ‘take’] them, and you will have them.
You must take the promises of God before you see them. This is the difference between a healing and a miracle. A miracle is an instant healing and a healing is a gradual miracle.
Get ready to TAKE your healing by meditating on God’s promises with our highly anticipated resource, The Healing Scriptures Package. This package includes The Healing Scriptures book, an interactive audio CD reading by Sid of The Healing Scriptures and a powerful teaching from Sid on healing and miracles. |
The promises of God are like seeds in the natural realm. Once the seeds are planted, as long as you do not dig them up and you keep your garden clear of weeds, you not only hope they will grow, you know they will! But we are often prone to digging up the seeds of His promises or we allow weeds to strangle our faith in them. We dig up the seeds of God’s promises by agreeing with our symptoms instead of the Word of God. We let weeds strangle our faith in His promises by allowing unforgiveness (Mark 11:25-26) and other unrepented sin to take root in our lives.
Having faith like the Bible describes is an even stronger type of faith than believing before you see. You must aggressively take your healing no matter how long you have to wait for it to move from the invisible realm to the visible world. Jesus says it like this in Matthew 11:12, And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. The battle is in your mind. You must violently cast down every thought or imagination that is contrary to the Word of God. This does not mean you deny your symptoms. But you must deny the symptoms the right to stay and have a foothold in your life. Get forceful and command them to leave! Symptoms caused by the devil will stay around until he knows you will not give up!
By faith, call those things that are not as if they are: God…calls those things which do not exist as though they did (Romans 4:17). This is not just positive thinking.
Rather, as you meditate on God’s Word you are speaking into existence His own promises from His own Word. It is not a ritual — it is truly believing in your heart the promises you are confessing. And when you begin confessing and believing His promises, nothing will be impossible for you.
Gateway to Heaven
Have you ever wondered what happens in the spirit realm when we confess and believe God’s promises? Jacob described a stairway or ladder to heaven on which he saw angels ascending and descending (Genesis 28:12). Recently, someone observed a cylinder or shaft of light over me that they described as a gateway or portal to heaven. Could this be the gateway through which Jesus answers prayer? He told us to pray in Luke 11:2: Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

I believe every person who is truly born again has a spiritual “cylinder of light” reaching from heaven to earth. The more we grow in faith and stand on God’s promises, the larger the cylinder becomes. The more we are thankful to God constantly for knowing Him and the more we worship and commune with Him, the more our prayers are answered through our gateway to heaven. Creative miracles will become the norm for those who hunger and thirst for Yeshua (Jesus).
I had the privilege of knowing the late Kathryn Kuhlman and seeing her minister. She had the greatest miracle ministry of the 20th century. Kathryn prophesied that after she died, there would be a great outpouring of God’s Spirit. This third Great Awakening would be so powerful that everyone in a hospital would be healed.
I see this and even greater works. I see creative miracles where people will receive new limbs and body parts. You and I will be alive for this Great Awakening that is about to be poured out worldwide. And we won’t just be observing. God will move through us as His gateway to bring healing from the invisible world into the visible world.
A Nudge from God
Last December, I attended the funeral of a woman I had led to the Lord. At first, I talked myself out of going. I knew there would be a large crowd and I would not know many people. “They will not even know I am there,” my mind protested. But then I felt a slight nudge from the Holy Spirit, and I was determined not to miss God.
A few minutes after I arrived, a well-dressed elderly gentleman sat down next to me. We struck up a conversation. I found out he was Catholic but had never read the Bible and had never been born again. I told him about our It’s Supernatural! Television Network (ISN) that he could watch anytime on his phone. He gave me his card and asked me to text him information on how to get the free ISN app. The next day I texted directions: Go to the App Store, type in “Sid Roth,” then look for the orange icon that says, “ISN.” He texted back to thank me and invited me to have breakfast.
As we ate together, I told him about the importance of meditating on God’s Word. I explained that the Hebrew understanding of “meditate” is “to mutter or mumble out loud” promises found in the Bible. You would not eat an entire steak in one gulp. This would kill you. No, you cut bite size portions and chew them so your body can digest them. The same is true for the Word of God. I take a promise and personalize it as if God had spoken it just to me. Then I say it out loud often.
The spoken word is very powerful. If you hear yourself tell a lie often enough, you will begin to believe it is true. But, if you say positive statements often enough, you will believe them. This is how positive thinking operates. How much more powerful is it to say out loud the very promises of God from the Bible!
Remember this ABSOLUTE promise from God in 2 Corinthians 1:20: For ALL the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen [so be it]. God has done His part. Now it is up to us.
I said to my new friend, “Let me give you an example. Romans 10:9-10 says, If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Then I said, “This is how it works. I want to say a prayer for you to know Jesus and you repeat the prayer out loud.” After he said the prayer of salvation, he said, “I feel something. I feel good.” Then he promised to read the Bible and meditate on God’s promises.
Imagine if I had not followed God’s slight nudge to attend the funeral service. What a great way to begin the year! And it will only get better. I pray in Jesus’ Name that you start following those slight God nudges in your life. I prophesy that if God can trust you with slight nudges, He will turn up the volume to an audible voice!
This is your year to inherit the promises, to walk in your full destiny and to receive your healing.
Take it!
