More Revelations about UNRWA, Gazans Are Fed up with Sinwar
UN Agency’s Long History of Enabling Hamas Exposed: The shocking revelation that some employees of the UN agency UNRWA were part of the October 7 massacre and transported Hamas terrorists in UN vehicles is just the most recent example of the heavily US- subsidized agency’s relationship with Hamas. The US government has given UNRWA $1 billion of taxpayer money since 2021.
Further, just weeks before Israel claimed UNRWA employees took part in the October 7 massacre in southern Israel, American media reported a Telegram channel used by more than 3,000 teachers for UNRWA in Gaza was found replete with posts celebrating Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel, praising the terrorists who raped and murdered civilians as “heroes.”
The Telegram channel is intended for UNRWA teachers and contains files with staff names, ID numbers, schedules and curriculum materials. In one post highlighted in the UN Watch report, UNRWA teacher Waseem Ula shared a video glorifying the Hamas attacks and posted a photo of a suicide bomb vest wired with explosives.
The caption said, “Wait, sons of Judaism.” The American news outlet also reported on an August video titled “Askar—UNRWA: Cradle of Killers” purportedly showing Palestinian children inciting hatred against Jews and Israel at the Askar refugee camp near the city of Nablus in Judea and Samaria.
Additionally, in 2019, the news outlet had reported that UNRWA school books were tainted with “systematic hatred” of Israel. UNRWA has faced years of criticism for allowing school textbooks to be filled with antisemitic chapters in its schools while also glorifying terrorists. Two years earlier, in 2017, a Hamas terrorism tunnel was found beneath two UNRWA schools in Gaza. (FN / VFI News)
“Lord, we ask that all organizations that harbor and facilitate terrorism leave Israel for good. We hope that all nonprofit and for-profit organizations are thoroughly examined before being allowed to operate and have an immense impact on our grounds. We further ask that all UNRWA employees who have aided Hamas in any way will face just punishment and repent for their crimes.”

‘Sinwar Is Eating Meat, We’re Eating Lead’: A recent social media video shows Gazan civilians calling out to IDF soldiers and asking that they not leave Gaza. “[Hamas leader Ismail] Haniyeh is eating in a Turkish restaurant, [Hamas leader Yahya] Sinwar is eating meat underground, and we’re eating lead,” one of them declares.
He also cursed the UNRWA, the organization ostensibly responsible for United Nations humanitarian aid distribution in Gaza. “Don’t leave here,” he told the soldiers. “We have nothing to do with all this.”
However, Gazan residents also did nothing to try to stop it, nor did they tell the IDF the whereabouts of hostages, although some were kept in homes.
Meanwhile, the IAF has airdropped a “newspaper” for residents of central Gaza called “The Reality,” Hebrew-language media reports, citing Palestinian reports.
The leaflet calls on Gazans to “wake up,” and says that Hamas “kills your children.” The pamphlet includes articles on the EU sanctions on Sinwar, the increase in humanitarian aid, and refuting the claims of the terror group’s spokesman. “They burned the people’s money on tunnels and weapons,” the newspaper says. Hamas Demands Israel Release Terror Mastermind Marwan Barghouti in Exchange for Hostages: Hamas is demanding that Israel release a high-profile Palestinian terror mastermind and political leader who some Palestinians view as a Nelson Mandela-like figure. As part of the ongoing cease-fire negotiations with Israel, senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan called for the release of Marwan Barghouti.
Barghouti, 64, was a leader of the late Yasser Arafat’s Fatah party, Hamas’ main political rival in the Gaza Strip. He was arrested in Ramallah in Judea and Samaria in 2002 and is serving multiple life sentences for his role in numerous deadly attacks during the second Palestinian uprising in the early 2000s.
“Hamas wants to show to the Palestinian people that they are not a closed movement. They represent part of the Palestinian social community. They are trying to seem responsible,” Qadoura Fares, who heads the Palestinian Ministry of Prisoner Affairs in the occupied Judea and Samaria, said of Hamas’ interest in releasing a popular figure from a rival party.
Many Palestinians see Barghouti as the natural successor to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, whose forces in Gaza were overrun by Hamas in 2007.
If Barghouti is released, Fares explained, he could become a candidate that Hamas, Fatah, and other Palestinian factions could rally behind. An opinion poll published in December showed that Barghouti was still the most popular politician among Palestinians. (NYP / VFI News)
Hezbollah Fires Huge Barrage of Rockets, Houthis Publish Drill Showing Raid on Mockup of Israeli Base: Hezbollah fired a barrage of rockets at cities and towns all over northern Israel on Sunday, February 4, leading to the sounding of 33 air raid alerts, the most in the recent period. In Gaza, meanwhile, the IDF took over Hamas’s Khan Yunis brigade headwaters and announced the death of a soldier, Sgt.-Maj. (res.) Shimon Yehoshua Asulin who was killed in battle in southern Gaza.
At midday, IDF aircraft struck Hezbollah positions, targeting infrastructure such as rocket launchers and observation posts in Blida and Meis el-Jabal in southern Lebanon. Rockets from Lebanon were identified approaching the Israeli border, triggering rocket alarms in northern Israeli communities, including Kiryat Shmona, Manara, Margaliot, and Metulla.
As the day progressed, more communities were also fired at, with no casualties in Israel, most of whose 80,000 residents had evacuated back in October.
Also on Sunday, a video published by Houthis showed soldiers drilling for a raid on an Israeli “command and control center.” During the drill, three people dressed as Israeli soldiers were taken captive at gunpoint, including one found sitting at a table with computers, ostensibly meant to represent the command and control center. The footage also appeared to show the Houthi forces killing and capturing top generals and Israeli leaders.
Meanwhile, the US and Britain struck 36 Houthi targets in 13 different locations in Yemen on Saturday, in a fresh wave of assaults meant to further disable Iran-backed groups that have relentlessly attacked American and international interests in the wake of the Israel-Hamas war, US officials told American media. “God, we pray that You help and protect us from all surrounding enemies during these critical times. We humbly ask that the latters’ plans will not succeed, but will be canceled by Your gracious hand. We pray for the family of the soldier who was killed in battle and we hope that You comfort them and take away their pain. We also pray for peace and stability and we hope that the future of our people will be full of prosperity, love and security.”
Hamas Makes Bombs from Medical Supplies: IDF troops operating in Gaza found a detailed Hamas manual for the production of explosives and rocket propellant material using hydrogen peroxide, supplied to hospitals, revealing how Hamas is exploiting a substance with legitimate uses in hospitals to construct rockets, a clear indication of the terror group’s use of civilian materials for their military needs.
The manual consists of materials written in English, Arabic, and another language, likely Norwegian, outlining the distillation process of H202 for the production of explosives.
These documents contain intricate schematics for constructing distillation equipment, as well as instructions on assembling homemade rockets and explosive charges.
Troops uncovered a staggering number, exceeding 100 million files and encompassing over half a million documents, including operational plans and combat strategies employed by Hamas.
These materials were being meticulously examined by the intelligence unit responsible for investigating enemy material within the Intelligence Branch, which serves as the central hub for gathering and analyzing the spoils of war obtained from Hamas since the conflict’s onset. (YNet / VFI News)

Prominent US Think Tank Has Secret Ties to Iran Regime – Report: Prominent Washington think tank the International Crisis Group, influential in the negotiation of the United States’ nuclear deal with Iran, has extensive but previously undisclosed connections to the Islamic Republic’s foreign ministry, according to a report from a Persian-language news outlet frequently at odds with Iran’s government.
The outlet charges that the theocratic regime has used the experts “to lobby the US government on its behalf.” The connections between the Iranian Foreign Ministry and the Crisis Group run through the former’s in-house think tank, the Institute for Political and International Studies, which Western governments and organizations have largely shied away from, since the group sponsored a notorious Holocaust denial conference in 2006.
The Institute and the Crisis Group signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in 2016, predating much of the latter’s involvement in negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions on the regime.
“The think tank has given recommendations to the Obama, Trump, and Biden administrations on Iran,” the report says, “as well as the US Congress. However, the Crisis Group never made public the agreement it had with the Iranian foreign ministry, and its analysts never mentioned their close ties with the Iranian officials.”
“In reviewing the large cache of leaked Iranian Foreign Ministry correspondence and Tehran’s interactions with Western organizations,” wrote Jay Solomon of Semafor, with which Iranian media shared the documents, “I was startled, not only by its depth, but the lack of transparency involved.” (JPost / VFI News)

UK: Pro-Israel MP Forced to Leave Politics After Death Threats from Islamists: British MP Mike Freer has announced that he would be leaving politics after years of death threats, in part due to his support of Israel.
Last month, Freer’s office was targeted in an arson attack damaging three floors at the back of the building. The MP also narrowly escaped murderer Ali Harbi Ali, who went on to kill Tory MP Sir David Amess in 2021. Before killing Amess, Ali had visited Freer’s constituency office.
Freer cites the near murder, the recent arson attack, and being targeted by the banned Islamist group Muslims Against Crusades, as the reasons for his decision, saying that they “have weighed heavily on me and my husband.”
He added that “these serious incidents are alongside the many ‘low level’ incidents. No MP can operate effectively without the support of their spouse and wider family. Sadly the serious incidents place intolerable stress on them too.”
The MP addressed his constituents, writing: “It will be an enormous wrench to step down, it has been the privilege of my life to serve the wonderfully diverse and vibrant area that is Finchley & Golders Green. Serving the constituents and getting things done is what makes the job worthwhile.”
Freer has been outspoken on Israel and a strong supporter of the Jewish community in his constituency. He said the abuse he faced for challenging antisemitism was “a factor” in his resignation. He went on, “I don’t think we can divorce” antisemitism from the intimidation. (INN / VFI News)

Hint to Turkey: Israel Strengthening Ties with Cyprus: Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and Cabinet member, Eli Cohen, spoke a week ago with the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry of Cyprus, Giorgos Papanastasiou.
During the conversation, the two agreed on strengthening the regional alliance between Israel and Cyprus, continuing to promote joint energy activity, while connecting the countries on an economic basis and speeding up the submarine electric cable project that will connect Israel to Cyprus and Europe.
In addition, they discussed a tripartite visit, together with the Greek minister. This alliance is also a broad hint to Turkey, who is interested in similar collaborations, and has even discussed this with Israel – but has repeatedly attacked Israel since the outbreak of the war.
Minister Eli Cohen said: “I thank Cyprus for supporting Israel in the war against Hamas. Cyprus is a regional ally, and cooperation in the field of energy has great potential for both countries. Connecting the electricity cable from Israel to Europe through Cyprus is a valuable contribution to energy independence, to the economic potential for both countries, and also meets the European need to diversify energy sources.”
Israel and Cyprus have many projects in common in the field of energy, among others the submarine electric cable (Great Sea Interconnector), which will connect the local electricity grid to Cyprus and Greece and from there to the European electricity grid. (INN / VFI News)
