As Passover begins tonight, we commemorate one of the greatest miracles in Jewish history when God supernaturally rescued the Jewish people from Egypt. But this pales in comparison to a miracle Jeremiah prophesied over 2,600 years ago.
What could eclipse the first Passover? Jeremiah said a time was coming when God would rescue the Jewish people from "the land of the north" and from all the lands where they were scattered and bring them back to the land of their fathers (Jeremiah 16:14-15).
After centuries of persecution, it seems impossible that the Jews could have even survived as a people, let alone that they would have a homeland to return to. And yet, we are seeing this miracle that Jeremiah prophesied coming to pass today! Large numbers of Jews have already returned to Israel from the land to the north of Israel, the former Soviet Union. And with the spread of rampant anti-Semitism to Europe, many more Jews will soon follow.
Imagine this: What if revival were to hit Israel and the Jewish people worldwide at this critical time? What if we Jewish people were to fulfill our original calling to evangelize the Gentiles? Paul saw this happening in Romans 11:12, "Now if [the Jewish people's] fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!"
That is my vision. That is why Jeremiah said God would do something that would be even greater than the Exodus!
That is why not long after you get this email I will be somewhere in the world evangelizing hundreds of Jewish people. My last trip was to Israel where we saw 525 make professions of faith. I cannot tell you where I am doing this next outreach until it is over but I am expecting record numbers of Jewish salvations. Your special Passover Offering will help cover the expenses of outreaches like this and the many other God directives I am following to evangelize the Jew.
Each year at Passover time, God instructed the Jewish people to bring a gift to Him: "All must give as they are able, according to the blessings given to them by the Lord your God" (Deut. 16:16-17, NLT). If God so blessed the Jewish people for giving at Passover, imagine how much more He will bless those who sow into the salvation of the Jewish people! According to Amos 9:11-13, when the Tabernacle (Hebrew: "family") of David is restored, it will trigger the greatest Gentile revival in history! Who is the family of David? The Jewish people!
As you continue to partner with us, I expect the same outrageous favor that rests on me to flow upon you and your house!
Blessed Passover,
Sid Israel Roth
