I have been healed of lupus for 21 years, since January 1984. Since then, I devoted my life to helping the terminally ill. I have flown thousands of miles across the US, and have spoken in hundreds of churches. However, I have found some churches do not teach the healing message clear enough, so that the terminally ill one can grasp how to be healed, or that Jesus wants them well. Some even teach that God doesn’t heal today.
Others believe God heals, but they don’t know how to activate His healing power. So they do not believe God will heal them. But I would rather believe that God could not heal me, rather than think He would not heal me. As that is to doubt God’s integrity, so He cannot heal that person.
Faith and trust activates God’s healing power. Faith makes you well, but doubt kills you. You must know how to be healed. So open your mind and your heart and allow God’s healing power to be activated. As you enforce God’s Word, by proclaiming the Word, it heals your spirit, soul and body.
God is good and He wants you well, and He wants you to prosper. But your mind must prosper on the truth in God’s Word before your body can be healed from the attack of the enemy. You must know that the enemy hates you because you belong to God, so he will attack you if you don’t walk in love, stay close to God, and live without strife, or offense. Then, by obeying God’s love and forgiveness laws puts you in line for your healing.
Then read God’s Word, therein you will find scores of healing promises. They were written for you. Mark them and proclaim them. God loves you; His Word is your Covenant promise. So pray and read His Word, and learn to trust Him for healing of your mind, spirit and body. Get intimate with Jesus the healer, so Jesus your healer can manifest Himself to you.
Don’t bug Jesus for your healing. Just worship and praise Him and love on Him. Let Him know how thankful you are for all that He has done for you already, by taking 39 stripes on His back for your healing. Then, tell Him how much you love Him for dying for you to redeem you from sin.
By the time you have praised and thanked Jesus, and worshipped Him and loved on Him for all He has done for you, your ‘poor-ole me-attitude’ will change, and you will not feel self-centered and hopeless any longer.
When your mind is off self, and placed on Jesus, He will come through for you. But you must seek Him with your whole heart before seeking Him for your healing. You were created to worship and fellowship with Him. Sickness in your body stems from a lack of intimacy with your Creator.
Jesus said, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you” (John 15:7). As you abide in Jesus and stay in His Word, then you can ask Him to heal you, and as you thank Him for it, healing starts flowing through your body. That is how I did when I was being healed of lupus. I spent quality time with Jesus, and focused on being close to Him, more than I did trying to get my healing.
When I found Jesus in His Word and through spending time with Him, in worship and by praising Him for all that He had already done for me, I lost all anxiety for the illness in my body. Then as I lost myself in His Word through prayer, praise, and as I meditated God’s Word, then I began to grow stronger in my body. Lupus in my body lost its power over my spirit.
When satan gets you to pay more attention to the pain he inflicts on your body than you pay attention to God’s Word, he defeats your spirit. And a wounded spirit dries up your bones. God’s Word is good medicine, so meditate it day and night, as Joshua 1:8 says. Then you can defeat the enemy, and win the deception battle that satan wages against your mind.
I haven’t given as many scriptures this time as I have previously given, because I felt led to go back to the basics, and talk from my heart, so that you can know that someone else has walked through the attacks of the enemy, just as you are experiencing. I have come out on the other side waiving my victory banner. So I am telling you that you can do it also.
I have proven our Lord’s words were true. He said, On this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it” (Mt. 16:18). The real church will rise up and get violent against the enemy and take back what satan is illegally stealing from them. Jesus redeemed the church from the curse of sickness; they must not let satan run over them any longer. If they do, they are ignoring what Jesus has done for them.
In Colossians Jesus “wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it” (Colossians 2:14-15).
By Galatians “[Messiah] has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in [Messiah] Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith” (Gal. 3:13-14). So do not let satan take advantage of you. You are redeemed from all the sickness curses. Jesus opened your prison doors of sickness, so that you can walk out completely healed, well, and strong.
The only thing holding you inside a prison of sickness is satan’s deception. If he makes you think that God will not perform His Word, or that the doctor’s report has power over God’s promise, then deception takes you down, as God’s Word has power to heal and set you free. “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36).
I escaped the jaws of death, by walking on the power that’s in God’s Word, so can you walk out of sickness too, by using God’s Word! Amen!
