How to Meditate
The Jewish way to meditate is to mumble out loud the Words of God. This is what Joshua meditated, and God promised him in Joshua 1:8:
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
When I meditate, I personalize the verse, for instance in Psalm 91, I change “He who dwells…” to “I dwell…” I talk out loud and add to the verse to make it more descriptive, for instance, “I dwell, I actually breathe and live inhaling the rarefied air of heaven because you Almighty God dwell inside of me and never leave me” etc. Also, visualize yourself doing what the verse says. Meditate on this verse multiple times every day the entire week. Next week we will meditate on a new verse. God promises you will prosper and have good success!
