Intimacy with God brings peace to the soul and healing to our body. Therefore, Satan will try to stop our intimacy any way possible, because he knows that if he stops our intimacy, then healing will not manifest. Without intimacy the battle is lost to Satan, and he makes us think God failed us.
However, James says to, “Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (Jas.4:7-8). You can back Satan off as you submit to God and draw near Him, because He will draw near to you. That closeness of relationship with God, who is the healer – will bring your healing. In His Wings is healing. Malachi says, “But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings ” (Mal.4: 2).
God has good things for His children, and His healing bread is one of those good things that He has provided for His children according to (Mark 7:27). And “With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation,” (Ps. 91:16). Yet, God’s Word clearly teaches that Satan is a thief, and a killer, but that Jesus came to give us life, and to give us life more abundantly, by (John 10:10).
Jesus is the Vine and we are the branches by Jn. 15:5. So we must stay intimate by our connection with God’s Word. If we disconnect from the Word, we disconnect from the life that flows from Jesus. He is a Healthy, Living Vine, and we as the branches, must stay connected to stay healthy.
In 1983, I stood on God’s Word, night and day for my healing from lupus. And this is how I personalized Joshua 1:8. I proclaimed, ”This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, and so I will meditate therein day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then I shall make my way prosperous, and I shall have good success,” by (Jsh.1:8).
God performs the word that we proclaim with our mouth, because Jesus is the High Priest of our profession, or our confession, by (Hb. 3:1). We must confess God’s Word so that He can bring His will to pass. Then, God hastens to perform His Word, by (Jer. 1:12). So it is only God’s Word that we speak…that He hastens to perform. So we must confess the answer that we find in God’s Word, and reject the problem. We cannot talk the problem. Instead, we must claim God’s answer.
By Genesis 1:26, we are made in the image and likeness of God. He “calls those things which do not exist as though they did” (Ro. 4:17). So they change, as God gets what He calls into existence. Since we are made in His likeness, we can call things that are not, as if they were, and they will change. It works, because I called myself healed, well, and strong when I was weak and sick with lupus. By staying in God’s Word, my body then responded to what I thought, and to what I said. I began to mend, and with my patience, and with my intimacy with God, in twelve months my body was well.
My mind stayed on God and His Word. I confessed the Word always when I was awake. I meditated the Word and kept my mind on God’s Word, and I stayed intimate with Him. If God’s Word is meditated and confessed, it will change our mind and also change our circumstances.
Mark says, “…whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” (Mark 11:23). By meditation and by quoting the Word, intimacy with God forms, so that keeps our mind off mountainous problems that Satan creates.
We cannot use our own intellect to get the enemy out of our mind once we have entertained his lies. We then must take God’s Word and force Satan’s stronghold out of our mind. That is why we must meditate the Word day and night, like Joshua said to do. God’s power comes through His Word as we meditate it, and speak it orally – with our mouth. Satan is no match for the Word. It is sharper than a two edged sword. It drives the enemy out of our body, and also out of our mind.
I have watched people die by not taking hold of God’s Word and enforcing it on the enemy. But, instead they kept their problem on their mind, so their problem never left. You have to get your problem off your mind. You cannot change your circumstances if you meditate the problem, and not the answer. God’s Word is so powerful that it can change things. It can also bring our answer.
Jesus never left us defenseless; He gave us His powerful weapons. By using His Word, Satan has no option but to bow at Jesus Name, and he also bows at God’s Word…if it is enforced on him.
Your mind is a doorway to success, or to failure. So you must be intimate with God by keeping your mind stayed on Him and His Word. Isaiah says, “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You” (Isa. 26:3). God knows that you trust Him if you keep your mind stayed on Him, and not on the problem. When your mind is controlled with God’s Word – you will not worry about the situations that Satan creates. God is greater than any problem Satan creates. But it is your intimacy with God that builds trust, so that you can take refuge and rest in His Word, while sickness vanishes, as it is turned into healing in your mind, and your body.
However, there is a way seeming right to man, but the end thereof is the way of death, (Proverbs 14:12). And that way is by not proclaiming God’s Word over your problem, and by thinking that you can solve it without verbalizing God’s Word. Jesus said, “’Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.'” (Luke 4:4). God’s Word contains life. God is Eternal life and His Word is a programmed living seed to sow in your mind and heart. By saying it, it takes root in your heart and produces what God sent it to produce. It cannot return to Him void of accomplishing His plan.
So be diligent and never get lazy, or slack. Confess God’s Word over your enemy’s attack. God’s Word can change chaos into victory for you, just as it did for God when He spoke His words over this world that He wanted changed. He made you in His likeness so that you can change your world into a more peaceful place. Your world is framed by the words that you say. So take the Word and forcefully execute it on the enemy, and victory can be yours as you obey God’s plan.
By your executed words – spoken over Satan’s plan, will change defeat – into victory – in your life, no matter how bad the situation may be. When you enforce God’s promises on Satan, your circumstances will turn for your good, and for God’s glory. I speak from my own experience, because I spoke God’s Word for twelve months, and by my intimacy with God and by forcefully executing His Word, I turned sickness and defeat around; it turned into perfect health, and victory.
I confessed: “My God supplies all of my need according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus,” so this year, God gave me an eight-room-brick home, on an acre of land, for Ministry headquarters. He has also given me a new Secretary. Because, I have given to God my tithes and offerings, as He says to – “’Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,’ Says the Lord of hosts, ‘If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it'” (Mal. 3:10). By my intimacy and obedience to God, He has proven that He keeps Covenant, whether it’s finances, or healing. Amen!
